As long as I've been sculpting, I've felt compelled to create these faces. Here are another few works which I did in the late 80s. The plaque is a 5x5 wooden base with ceramic faces affixed. The larger face is also ceramic but has a red iron oxide finish. Both pieces use some gloss ceramic glaze for highlights (eyes or mouth).
